Google now will do several calculator type functions.

Basic arithmetic:
Google: 1+2

Trig:
cos(1/2)

Factorials:
25!

Convert/calculate in different bases such as binary, octal, hex, and decimal:
Google: 32 in binary

Google knows constants:
e
pi
Planck's Constant
Speed of Light
Gravitational Constant
Avogadro's Number
Radius of the Earth
Radius of the Sun
Mass of the sun plus the mass of the earth

Google does conversions:
I've noticed that it at least knows these --feet, inches, miles, meters, light years, pints, quarts, tablespoons, teaspoons, gallons, liters, grams, pounds, angstroms and the associated metric prefixes such as centi, kilo, etc.
